This is a bright straw colour and has a viscous appearance, and rich layered flavours of greenfig preserve and gooseberies. The full bodied ripeness gives fatness on the palate and there is a fingerprint Sauvignon green pepper flavour in the finish. It's great with seafood, poultry and pasta dishes. |

OVERGAAUW MERLOT 2000
Overgaauw Merlot was the first wine of this variety bottled in South Afria. it is a ruby tinted, soft structured wood matured red wine with strawberry/raspberry aromas. A touch of Cabernet Sauvignon was blended to the Merlot to give a warmer palate. With bottle maturation its velvety character will improve even further. |

VERGELEGEN MILL RACE RED 1999
This is an attractive dark ruby offering. The nose shows black berries, mint, eucalyptus and vanilla flavours. The wine is soft and elegant on entry with fruit flavours coming through on taste. It's best served at 17ºC with leg of lamb, oxtail, fillet, pasta or just on its own. |

SIMONSIG CUVEE ROYALE 1992
This is a pale grapefruit yellow with very fine persistant bubbles dancing to the surface. It has fresh Chardonnay citrus notes with delicate fresh almond aromas at the back. The smooth creamy mousse refreshes the palate for the clean toasty biscuit flavour which highlights the long maturation in the bottle. The finish is sophisticated and dry, leaving the palate calling for more. |

DEETLEFS CHENIN BLANC 1999
This wine has a soft/green appearance with a bright subtropical bouquet, ripe peach and fresh fruit flavours. It offers zip and sparkle and good, crisp lime flavours and a long fine finish. It just keeps rolling along and is a superb aperitif with enough character to accompany a variety of dishes. |
